Maniac Magee Study

You have made a good job of this author study on the whole Amy. However, you have not understood what a protagonist and antagonist are in the novel. Maniac is the protagonist. He is the good person trying to live peacefully with everyone. The antagonists are those characters that try to get in his way and stop him. e.g Mars Bar and Mc Nab. By the end of the story only one of those two antagonists are still against him and that is Mc Nab. Mars has become his friend.
I take your point about the aunt and uncle setting in motion the reasons for Maniac running away. In their hatred for one another, the aunt and uncle can only focus on one another and they don't see Maniac. In the absence of any love or kindness from his extended family, Maniac decides he is better off without them.
I hope you enjoyed the story Amy, as it is one of my favourites. You may like to read some more by Jerry Spinelli.

I was learning to write descriptive paragraphs.I found it tricky to write full paragraphs.Next time I will try a shorter story book.
